Fenner Dunlop Opens QLD Manufacturing Plant
Fenner Dunlop has continued its growth in Australia by adding a new local idler manufacturing plant in Brisbane.
The facility will be staffed with local workforce and will reduce lead times on idlers from the company’s overseas suppliers.
The product line at the site will include steel rollers covering standard sizes, with the production process designed to keep costs down while maintaining high quality.
Additionally, the plant is entirely robotically automated, which the company says will ensure consistency across the end product.
Fenner Dunlop has designed and supplied conveyor idlers and structures for over 15 years. Its conveyor and components manager in Queensland, Brendon Harms (pictured), said the company was excited about the new opportunities the plant would create.
“Our experience in supplying idlers gives us total confidence that we are delivering the best product in the market. We are excited in now being able to better support our customers with fast delivery,” he said.
The new plant exists alongside the company’s sales, engineering and warehouse operations that are also in Queensland’s capital city.
It will be formally inaugurated at a ceremony in October in the presence of Fenner Dunlop’s management team and key customers.
